Just finished listening in to Rosemary Lehman and Simone Conceicao present on Creating a Sense of Presence in Online Teaching and Learning Environments. Todd Conaway, an instructional designer at Yavapi College was in the virtual audience and shared a link to his blog on the topic:
I am virtually attending the 2010 Jossey-Bass Online Learning Conference today and tomorrow (10/20 to 10/21) as my schedule permits. Webinars are growing in favor with me - no travel and you can check in and check out whenever you need to. Each session is recorded so I can return or replay it when it fits.
After a time of inactivity, it is time to write and blog more on "open learning." Posting to a blog is certainly not close to authoring a book or conducting research. However, it is one of the ways to get writing underway and to work on conditioning one's thinking "muscles."

Thanks to a tweet from Sian Bayne at Edinburgh University, here is a link to the Literacy in the Digital University conference being hosted by Open University in the UK.
