Developing Critical Thinking in Online Courses

I attended a presentation by Ms. Paula Jones, Drs. Mary Ann and Fred Kolloff of Eastern Kentucky University on "best practices for developing critical thinking skills for online learners."

Fred Kolloff proposed that today's employers are not only interested in hiring problem-solving people but really need leaders who can forecast problems or needs for the organization.

Eastern Kentucky University has an Instructional Development Center (http://www.idc.eku.edu/). Mary Ann Kolloff provided assignment examples and demonstrated how "softchalk" can be used (http://www.softchalk.com/index.html).

Very well done.
